Have Bad Breath? Stop Doing This & Starting Doing This To Save Money and Live Healthier!

When we have bad breath, our first instinct is to go to the local store and buy some flavored gum. Not only can this be costly if one goes to buy a new pack of gum each week or every other week, it is also a mask for another underlying problem.

Bad breath is most likely due to a lack of flossing which causes old chunks of food to stay in between your teeth between meals. The longer you go without flossing, the more time that food decays next to your gums and causes bad breath and even worse, cavities and gum disease.

Flossing is often overlooked by many as a secondary form of dental hygiene and hides in the shadows of brushing with toothpaste. However, flossing is just as important as brushing and should be done everyday.

In fact, there are numerous health studies that allude flossing to good gum health and even overall body health. For example, flossing can lead to better heart health according to this study from the European Journal of Preventive Cardiology.

Furthermore, flossing can indirectly lead to losing weight since the act of flossing itself can be a motivation to not snack unnecessarily, especially when following a strict diet since one would have to floss again after that meal.
